Galley noise won't be a problem. If anything it'll be easier to shout over to the staff for more champagne haha.
My brother is on the same flight and he was never offered an upgrade from Business unfortunately. I wonder what the odds are of staff upgrading him at check in as he has the available miles to do so?

The right side of the aircraft has increased foot traffic (to and from the galley), and has the potential for galley noise.
As others have stated, row 2 is probably better. And 2A the pick of the bunch. Increased sense of space, the least foot traffic, farthest from the galley, no other passengers passing to and from the toilets.
