Yes, in the WORLD. Muskoka 'cottage country' is a well kept secret from the rest of the world. Not a secret by design, it's just that when you grow up with this on your doorstep, you kinda take it for granted. It came as a surprise to many Toronto residents whose families have been vacationing in Muskoka for generations, that their weekend at the family cottage could be the envy of the world.

Muskoka is nice. I’ve spent a lot of time there. A lot. And even more time a bit further east, in the Haliburton Highlands. It’s very nice. Even special. It’s far from the most awesome place in the world.
