Sorry if this seems like a simple question or if anyone might have some experience here, but what is the most sensible way to book an award ticket, if I would like to travel in J in one direction but Y on the way back? I could book it as two one ways but I was wondering if there was a way to book it to take advantage of either a better redemption rates for the roundtrip booking. (Maybe book it as a cash PEY ticket and upgrade one leg or something? But I wouldn't be able to come back in Y, which I'd need to do as I'm flying back with the family who are on the return leg.)
