I'm in the situation where I'm flying to somewhere independently of a friend, but our itinerary on the way back will be exactly the same (same flight, plane, both booked with AC). Once we're both at our destination, is it possible to merge our PNR so we can stay together in case of IRROPS and don't somehow get split up? (Would also help for *G benefits to extend to my friend on the ticket, but that's a minor thing as if we're together I can extend most of the benefits to them even if we're not on the same ticket anyway)
