Wrong. AAA rates are not permissible, as well, nor are most, if any other promotional rates. If not rack rates, they are "prevaillng" rates, with little or no discount.
They really are any good if you are facing a situation where you are willing to pay top dollar for a property, and yet, would not mind receiving at least $50 off per night, the rate.
In addition, they are probably a value when the rates for a property are quite low to begin with, and a discounted rate does not match $50 off per night.
