2 Passengers on same PNR w/ different mileage earning
Booked my wife and daughter (both w/ no status) on a trip through AA Vacations, both on same PNR.
When miles posted, both passengers had same amount of EQM's, segments and base award miles. However,
- Daughter's EQD's were caculated as 'distance- special fare'
- Wife's EQD's were calculated as 'distance- data unavailable'
The net is that my daughter got about 50% more EQD's than wife. Not a huge deal, but it pushed her to gold status which then gave her the gold mileage bonus (so she earned about 40% more award miles than wife).
Not something i'll bother raising with AA (especially since it's possible they may correct this not in my favor), but any clue why 2 passengers on the exact same PNR would have a difference in EQM's? Is this typical with AA Vacations flights?
