My son is a minor and has 65K miles expired back in Feb. Totally my fault for not keeping better track.

I am considering the "register and fly" option. My question is does the flight have to be RT? We have an upcoming SNA-DEN-BZN and FCA-DEN-LAX flights. I purchased the flight before knowing the miles had expired.
