Not so much moved it downscale, they just haven't done anything to it in the last 10 years. Maybe "downscale by neglect".

I took a look at the area map, and it looks like "the lodge at big sky" (across a road from huntley) is the former Holiday Inn Express.
Funny story - Holiday Inn Express dropped the brand at the Big Sky property because it was "too nice and set wrong expectations for other properties in the brand".
