Yes you do get a choice on all short haul and domestic routes, and there is a large amount of overlap with short and medium routes so you’ll see the same salad on both MAN and FRA routes. The exceptions for getting a choice are LBA/MAN where there is no choice (unless you count not having anything as a choice!)
I don’t usually get a choice when I’ve travelled the same route on an A319, that’s when the choice is “yes or no” being asked “would you like a little something to eat?”
