Will the new Lifetime Gold be worth attaining?

New lifetime gold as I understand it will require 400 nights and at least 7 years as gold. I am at 320 with MR and 42 with SPG - 362 total. I called Marriott and they tell me that I have over 7 years as gold. I pretty much totally stopped staying at Courtyards when they went to the bistro, I hate standing in line to pay for a coffee and the mediocre breakfasts that sometimes take forever. Will it be worth the effort of staying 38 nights for LTG? Will there be any benefits to this? My situation - most of my MR stays occurred 20 some years ago, only 750,000 points on older cheaper stays. I'm Lifetime Diamond with Hilton, enjoy the free breakfasts everywhere, lounge access, some really nice upgrades and bottles of water when checking in. I'm planning on retiring in 2 years so am wondering if there will be any real advantage to having LTG when on vacation stays.
