FWIW I generally choose a window seat in Row 1 or Row 7 because
1) A little more privacy being off the aisle
2) You can get in or our without disturbing or stepping over your seatmate.
3) If you have a rollerboard you can put it at the end of the footrest and prop your feet up a little higher.

Second choice is one of the middle section seats in Rows 1 or 7.
Third choice is any other window seat if your sure the adjoining seat will be empty.
Fourth choice is any seat in the middle section.
