Help: account discrepancy
My account has been locked for review...
The situation is as follows,
I recently signed up for mileageplan account for my upcoming travel in US. The 120,000 miles in my account was transferred from Marriott Travel Package. At the time of sign-up, I tried more than 10 times to sign up and it kept coming back with error message. I used my exact address in China and in Australia, the results all were the same with error messages. I checked with my friends in the US who is frequent flyer with alaska air, he told me sometimes I should use a US address to get through. and it worked. I thought i can change the address to my exact address later on and i have done this right away when I got the account.
today, my account has been locked due to that I cannot verify my address. I called alaska and told them the address I changed. but the rep said it was wrong. I could not understand why the system did not update at the time I changed my mailling address. the rep said it was still the one I put for the first time and the only way to solve it is to provide a US issued driver license. I am not an US resident. How come I have an us issued driver license and asked the rep to transfer me to a supervisor, who asked me to provide any docs to prove. I am waiting for their response now. I provide my IDs, even my Title deed of Chinese property.
The issue is I am not deliberately to make up an address and I changed to the right one immediately. how come the system kept showing the one initially put-in? no one could change the address after sign-up? the IT system sucks....
the issue were the same when coming to purchase miles, i need 10,000 more to redeem JL flights in MAY which are available but the purchase kept not working neither.
I really do not understand how Alaska Air working...seems like they only care clients in the US not others. I felt very frustrated.
