This doesn't have anything to do with AC.

On the U.S. Amex Platinum card, the Benefits are defined here:

5X points on flights
https://www.americanexpress.com/us/c...oints/platinum

If your purchase on AC.com meets the Amex U.S. requirements, then perhaps yes. I would suggest confirming it with your Amex provider or you can also ask on the Amex FT forum.
