Please remember that all of ATA's flights involve a change of planes in Atlanta. Obviously, this is a much longer trip and the potential for missed connections is a factor to consider.

Also, for a student travelling to college, I suspect that transportation to Ann Arbor from DTW is much more readily available than from Flint or Toledo.
