There is an easy solution to this....

Give the moderators a second id that is very close to their personal id.

For example, ScottC could become mScottC; Slippahs becomes mSlippahs, or something similar.

Since the mods are members first, they should use their original id for non-moderator duties and put them in the security user group with the rest of us mere mortals .
