Noticed that too. But it's not worth buying the 4,000 package, even when sold for €53, the purchase rate is 0.01325 €/Avios.
The 2,000 is the best value (0.0095 €/Avios), followed by the 8,000 package (0.012375 €/Avios) and the 20,000 (0.01245 €/Avios)
I think when you buy a single 2,000 Avios package out of each lot it's ok. It simply won't let you buy another 2,000 package from the existing lot when you sign in and attempt to do so. What is difficult is determining when each lot finishes and the next one begins. I guess you just have to sign in all the time, but I simply don't have the time to do that or the ability to remember it at the moment! So I sort of count on here for having a heads up.
