you already know Nxxxxx is sCO, NxxxUA is sUA, and NxxxxU is sUA as well (every single PMUA plane delivered before 757 and 767 used that format). If you remembered all the current NxxxxU 77W were originally registered as Nxxxxx, they re-registered as NxxxxU prior to the delivery.
I am sure if there was no merger, all the 77W would register in the range of N231UA -- N248UA as the last 772 ended at N229UA with there was supposed to have N230UA but the order cancelled.
But no matter the reg format is, nowadays i only looked at the fleet number, like for 777
