The review skeptic claimed that it has an ability to spot the fake hotel reviews with 90% accuracy while normal person do no better than flipping coins. I normally don't bother to check the reviews nor the ratings, but I find that claim is interesting. So I crawled the top 20 reviews (sorted by "Most relevant") of each Maldives properties from Google Maps, and run those comment on reviewskeptic.com. And these are the results.

However, I find the claimed 90% accuracy is very questionable, well at least in Google Maps reviews for Maldives resorts. Because there are multiple very suspicious reviews (e.g. multiple 5-star reviews coming from different authors that include 4-6 identical sentences) that resulted in "Truthful" (or vice versa) and some reviews are not an actual review but the expression of their hope (e.g. "I want to be in your hotel but I don't because of money problem.....but from Images I will said that u r best in Maldives.....") or completely irrelevant side talks (e.g. "Need a job from there").
