IMO it's a waste of time trying to guess with any precision how much cashback you'll get from any hotel reservation. Same applies to the simple earning of points for any hotel stays charging in a non-USD currency.

But why would you convert your Paypal into home currency and pay the abusive fees? Leave it where it is and just spend it online whenever you need to buy something denominated in USD or GBP or whatever...
