Bad luck.. I did get a warning here but also most people said miles would comes back right away so I thought I'd take the risk. Now the award is no longer available and I'm out $225 in fees.
FWIW - When needed, I have good luck arguing to put the miles back immediately. Involves a supervisor and a lot of 'no the miles need to be there now'. They can do it but don't unless pushed. Silly. Like most Lifemile policies.
