Any 777-200ER route. So look for the first refurbished 777-200ER on MSP-CDG/HND, LAX-HND, SEA-CDG/HKG. Oh yeah and the next 777 to undergo mods will be a 777-200LR. Probably doesn't go in mods as SASCO until June-July. Mods really won't pick up, if at all, until middle of September-end of October. I expect the mods will end up being similar to the A330 mods, which went by quickly and Delta was able to mod most of the A330 fleet, 32 aircraft in total, in the off season. So by this time next year, the 777 mods will be either finished or very close to being finished. Once the 777 mods are finished, then the 764 mods will begin. Yes, Delta will be installing the D1 Suite, PS, and all new seats in Y on the 764. Delta intends to keep those aircraft as long as possible, incidentally they are all younger than the 777-200ER save for one aircraft. Since the D1 Suites are the Thompson Vantage XL instead of the original Thompson Vantage suite, which needs to be repeatedly stated that it is SIGNIFICANTLY and NOTICEABLY wider than the original and a MUCH LARGER footwell, the layout will either be alternating rows of 1-1-1 and 1-2-1 or 1-1-1 for every row. PS should be 2-2-2. I expect the seat count to be smaller whereas on the 777 refurbishment, the seat count is going up by 5 since D1 is being reduced to just 28 seats and EC is eliminated but Y remains 3-3-3. For all of the haters out there, Delta is now and will be in the future, the only North American Carrier with at least 18 inch seats in Intercontinental Widebody Y, and, with the exception of the 777/A350 fleet, the most 2-4-2 and 2-3-2 widebodies. Delta also has the fewest Intercontinental 757s and a good deal of them are doing JFK-SFO/LAX instead of many Deep South America/TATL flights unlike some other airlines.
