It's a good sign, but don't get your hopes up. TG is known for last-minute aircraft substitutions!
Suffering this right now - my upcoming BKK-AKL was 789, then 788, then 772(ER), then 77W, and now 788. Worst is that due to the 788 having the smallest J cabin and the load being full, my requested seat has been lost and I have been allocated a seat in the last biz row. At least it is an aisle.

As usual, THAI have reserved/blocked 3 seats 11E/12E/14E for disabled/needy (including TIPs) pax, so I have a request in the system to be allocated one of these by load control if any of these can be released. Since my fare basis is economy K with GUP applied, I will set my expectations low.

Pleasant surprises are preferred to nasty ones!
