I wasn't suggesting that you book with Aeroplan. I was just hoping to help firm up an idea about whether or not the space was real. Of course, that was based on an apparently faulty understanding of ExpertFlyer's data source. (I feel like that's a different message than I saw before -- either they changed providers or I misinterpreted it earlier).

I suppose you can try to get an agent to long-sell it for you. I don't know what the likelihood of success is. I don't know how good SQ is about having phantom vs. real inventory, but at this point, a preponderance of the evidence seems to suggest that the seat you want is there. And since other LH flights are showing up fine, I don't see any reason that UA agents shouldn't be able to access the seat that you're looking for.
