My take on Idine is to pay them the $50 per year fee and get the 20% cash back. For me, with my restaurant usage, it is a much better deal than getting more miles which just keep piling up because I cannot use them fast enough.
This will be true for anybody who is a heavy restaurant user and can find a few convenient places that take the card for fairly good sized tickets.
It seems that the Diners plan includes all the IDINE places and they credit your bill 20% at those restaurants.. No fee other than the standard one for the card itself.. Some of the places in the Diners book I don't believe take Diners though..
