Frankly, it sounds like the property treated you fantastically by offering you:
- Upgrade for first night to higher category room and then suite upgrade for the second night, even though you were on an award stay (yes, I know other IHG properties go above and beyond when it comes to the no benefits on award stays rule)
- Welcome amenity that is usually only provided to Inner Circle members
- Comped parking for one night
