I've only visited the A&L lounge and that was a couple years ago. I recall not being impressed, though there are a number of reviews online if you google around. The food wasn't very appetizing. I wouldn't have high expectations for the MLL either, MLL outstation lounges just have light snacks like soup, chips, hummus, salad, etc.

I mostly try to avoid EWR in general, and I've been successful since 2015 (I think).
