I wonder how much more it costs to operate an A330/A350 as opposed to an A32B. Assuming that AY would place a 46J A330 on this route it would only have 54 seats more than an A32B. Surely they could fill those extra seats, and on this medium haul flight, they could offer Euro-J meal trays in J, plus a cold sandwich before landing.
I suppose they'd need to attract some cargo from DXB. Don't know how easy that would be.
