Personally, I use the following (yes, all 6 simultaneously):

1. Shadowsocks (to my personal server)
2. ExpressVPN
3. VPN.ac (has a nifty feature where you can exempt certain specific apps -- like WeChat -- from being passed through the VPN)
4. SSH tunneling (to my personal server, for my laptop computers)
5. China Unicom HK SIM card (for mobile data, doesn't require a VPN and saves the phone battery)
6. AT&T SIM (emergency VPN in case the first 5 all fail)
