I did this about 6 months ago, and the other party was able to use his passport to complete the setup process.

@D When we talk about renting bikes, we are referring to Mobike/Ofo, which are widely available. Whenever I go to work after rush hour (e.g. 930a), I like to bike if the weather is nice. Fuxing Lu is a wonderful street for biking because it has a dedicated bike lane, and the trees are beautiful. Huaihai Lu (the first half of my ride), can be a little scary on the other hand.
