Hello,

I have an AC flight from YQB to YYZ followed by an AA flight to LGA with 3.5 hours in between, on separate tickets. Since AA is listed as an interline partner at https://www.aircanada.com/ca/en/aco/...-partners.html, wondering if it is still the case that AC will check my bags through at YQB? All my flights were booked in 1 PNR (although issued separately) and I can see on AC's website it has my onward AA flight information in AC's PNR. The YYZ airport website seems to suggest that it is impossible because AC and AA are not in the same terminal. Is it because US-bound bags need to go through US customs at YYZ, so I have to retrieve it or something? Sorry I have no experience flying from Canada to the US on a preclearance flight before.

By the way, my AA YYZ-LGA segment is part of an international ticket that comes with 2 free bags. If AC can through-check me, any chance I can talk nicely to the agent and see if the agent will waive the AC bag fees by showing her the other ticket? I know AS does that, but not sure if such chance exists with AC.

Thanks!
