I believe shopping in other terminals is possible if you are seeking visit a particular shop which is not available in the current terminal, you can get in touch with a representative who can arrange the transfer. Heathrow is a big airport and imo it would not be worth the 1hr ish (after all the waiting around etc?) round trip just to visit the Cathay Lounge.

I'd agree. I don't know whether this service (which I assume, based on the spend requirement, is a "VIP" service) would allow you to skip some of the security checks by picking you up after transfer security and depositing you into the secure area in T3 and vice versa, but otherwise I wouldn't want to go through Heathrow security more often than necessary...
