Yes, sadly this is the case. While EI are to be congratulated on profits and some-times low fares I suspect frequent flyers are leaving them by the bucket. I do everything possible to avoid EI (J or Y), even doing crazy routings and overnight hotel stays.. e.g. last week DUB-MAN (overnight crowne plaza)-ORD-SAN.

The only approach to EI - have no expectations and low expectations of staff and you won't be disappointed!
