I would consider an inboard block aisle, i.e. D or F. If you take an outboard block aisle two passengers will need to climb over you to get out but with an inboard block only half a passenger (on average) will need to climb over you.
Agreed, and if you can find a row where either the D or F is taken and you can nab the other side, then you are more likely to get the middle E seat empty as these have to be the least desirable seats in the cabin once two single pax are either side of them.
