zen100 - I had a sleepover at LAX late March en route to PHX with similar flight times to you. I saw a couple of people using "cots" though I didn't work out where they got them from. I thought it was a bit chilly. And it is bright. The lounge opened promptly but I was amused there was a queue outside that started about 15 mins before opening time. A couple of the coffee shops opened earlier than the lounge - I think I got a coffee at Dunkin Donuts about 4.15 as I was was feeling desperate. Breakfast was very nice though can't testify to the bacon. Walk to T5 is quite easy and reasonably well signposted. The sharp right at the bottom of the escalator is the critical bit. I can't remember how long it took - I think I was advised to allow 10 minutes from the lounge.
