I’ve not been there, myself, but I got my sister and her husband a room on points last Feb for a Sat night. I called ahead and spoke to a manager about my newly matched Marriott Platinum status and how I was doing this as a babymoon gift to them—so any room upgrade or little gift or amenity would be very appreciated by them. (And me.) He upgraded them to a one bedroom suite and sent a free bottle of wine and a cheese plate. Their photos of the suite were impressive, looked a lot like a W Suite—swank minimal decor but with more earth tones.

I was mightily impressed by that level of service for an elite guest who wasn’t even the guest. The location, of course, is wonderful.
