I think many of the benefits of speed through the airport etc have fallen away too. I find security at LCY to be a shambles when I'm there, although admittedly more often than not it's early Friday evening which is probably the worst time. The queues are often backing right up to the boarding pass scanners. I dread to think how long people then wait if their bag goes down the channel for additional screening, as those lanes are always full of bags waiting to be looked at. With the exception of MAN T3 which is by far the worst, the security staff generally seem somewhat unhelpful and unfriendly too.
