Skymiles Service Center - Run By Monkeys?
I qualified for GM on May 24 and emailed Delta the same day requesting they amend my status so I would be able to accumulate 100% bonus on the 4,000 miles I was flying that week (I understood status is upgraded automatically on the weekend and my flights were Mon-Fri). No response received from Delta.
Status was automatically upgraded by the system on weekend of Jun 5.
Today I received a letter from Skymiles Service Center dated Jun 18 (postmarked June 29) that advised after reviewing my past and current travel history, my request request for Gold Medallion status for 2004 is declined.
What a joke, I was already Gold when the letter was written and mailed. I have earned gold bonus for all of June.
Do they know what they are doing at Sky Miles Service Center? It appears they sent out a standard letter without even reveiwing my travel history.
