Any news about the Marriott travel packages? These were clearly the best use of SPG points by far. Are they going away?

Before I used a lot cat 2 spg hotels at 3000 points on weekends but now they are hard to find with everything at least cat 3 at 7000 points. However cat 5 marriott hotels are plentiful. For 90k starpoints that's 270k marriott = 7 nights hotel + 120k southwest or 132k united miles. Most of my points come from credit card spending so that's a great deal on just airline transfers. Last year I used over 20 packages for me and friends. Sometimes I would just stay 2 nights hotel as the hotel is free once you figure the airline transfer ratio esp on Southwest were it is cash at 1.4c/mile.

So my choices were, spend 7000 SPG points * 2 = 14,000 spg points for 2 night hotel at a cat 3 hotel or get free marriott since miles alone is a good deal eg 1.33 southwest points per dollar spend vs 1 point per dollar on southwest credit card.
