The basic fact that Marriott has seen it fit to grandfather their own MR LTPs into a new, special category which appears to be closed off for all others is a
material devaluation/disadvantage/kick-in-the-teeth when that same grandfathering isn't made available to SPG LTPs
with the exact same stay (and in some cases even better) histories as those with MR. If the devaluation isn't
material then why would Marriott see fit to create an entire LT category at all?
In other words, if it wasn't
material, why is there even a LTPP? Why isn't everyone mapped to the same LT status?
