Yesterday I had to change some AF/KL tickets. I paid a mix of fare difference + change fees. While it seems reasonable to think the fare difference will be taken into account for the mileage earning, what about the change fees? Are they included as ticketing fees in the mileage calculation?
I asked the same question some thread pages before (same situation as you). I don't remember anyone had a firm answer, but the "consensus" was that the fare difference would bring additional miles, while the change fee would not. Please report your exp (I will report mine but the concerned flight is only in august).
