If Citi doesn’t recognize and fix their mistake here — What would be the moral of the story? That next time don’t report a card is lost and let Citi eat the losses (0% fraud liability) because otherwise Citi may screw you over later?
Good luck with your mess! I don’t think they will modify a statement but your score should recover in a month or two.
