Now, I’ve used TAP Portugal before but I know they’ve recently changed things up and now I am so confused. I booked a flight through StudentUniverse back in August of last year, I didn’t notice until recently that when I look up my flight on the TAP website it says “Economy Restricted” on the ticket. Can anyone tell what that is all about? That’s got me a bit worried. The only thing I could find regarding Economy Restricted was someone saying that they had to pay an extra $140 because of it so they could have their luggage on the flight.

next question is about seating, do I have to pay to have a seat on the plane after buying the ticket? The way they word things is confusing, or do I only have to pay for a seat to reserve that seat?

I don’t want to get to the airport and be surprised when I don’t have a seat on the plane or have to pay a bunch of extra money for my luggage.

Last time I flew with them, it went perfectly, however this time I’m a bit confused and scared.
