Four Points Niagara Falls -- April 2018

Provided $20 credit against full buffet, which is $13.95/person (so buffet is $7.90 for 2). I am fine with that, IF the full buffet is your intended choice.

What I don't think is correct or appropriate is that the other choice is continental served to your table that is only pastries and fruit (plus coffee/juice). I was provided with the same Platinum breakfast amenity card upon check-in that I have been provided in almost every hotel, which specifically lists the items -- those items specifically include yogurt and cereal. I nicely and patiently asked two separate people in the restaurant, and even pointed to the fine print on the card -- both said the same thing "Our Platinum breakfast here is pastries/fruit on a plate from the kitchen and your drinks only". What I wanted for breakfast was fruit/yogurt/cereal and coffee -- those all fit in the terms of the amenity that is supposed to be provided, but was not an option, so we paid for the full buffet for two since the pastries on the buffet looked to be straight from a package...

Here's the really annoying part -- the buffet is set up with the hot items on one side and the cold items on the other side (which exactly mirror the items that are supposed to be included). So they could have simply said all cold items are included, but if you want hot items from the other side of the buffet, there is an additional charge of $3.95/person. I have been given this choice in a few hotels (though admittedly most simply provide the full buffet, which they don't have to), and found that to be a great choice option since I usually have hot breakfast at most once/week.
