It seems my application is stuck in the long route along with a majority of the people, even though I am in the US on H1B. I am trying to find out whether there is something different I could have done when I applied.
If your passport was issued outside India, then no PCC was performed prior to issuing your passport. Your passport is then not as trustworthy in the eyes of Indian authorities, regardless of whether address is Indian address or US address.
