I recall a situation a couple years ago (I think the site may have been fanatics.com) where when I visited the retailer directly, items I wanted were Shoprunner eligible. When I visited through a shopping portal, those items were no longer Shoprunner eligible. For that purchase I had to choose between free shipping or points/cash back.

That was an isolated incident. I've never seen it since.
