i was on qf117 on 14th which was cancelled as a result, and it seems my replacement qf7117 on 15th took the bird you were supposed to fly on.
i dont think compensation is in the cards, they are.contracted to take you from A to B. having said that, i got delayed 22hr for family of five and i paid hotel and car myself to tune of 600 bucks out of my pocket so i would write to them to ask for 10k or so miles as goodwill gesture for my inconvenience... i think hurdle for points comp is lot lower than cash
