My own preference is to stash the stuff I want to keep accessible under the seat in front of me, and sometimes I use the carry-on for my feet instead of the footrest (I'm 6'4", 196 cm,) therefore I generally avoid bulkhead seats, as well as the rearmost row - too close to odors and noises from the next cabin, which likely has a bassinette fastened to the other side of "my" bulkhead, aand osmetimes interference with recline (crew stashes, etc.) And don't forget "FEBO" for your meal choices.
Personally, I feel as you and would rather upgrade eastbound / redeye than the long but daylight flight, especially in a good seat. Bon voyage!
I think I'll name my next dog "FEBO"...

Now, allow me to stress you guys with another question
- i have't flown that much on biz in widebodies, so my question is, if i were to choose the bulkhead seats (LAX-JFK= 767-200) (JFK-LHR=777), will they have as much room as the other seats and/or even more ? or will they have less? should i choose them or not ( being 6'6" tall and all...

)
Thanks again for your help
