I hope no one minds me including a Virgin Atlantic meal here. It was booked as a Delta codeshare and I used SkyMiles to upgrade from my Premium Economy seat into Upper Class. There's also not a comparable thread in the Virgin Atlantic section of FlyerTalk. With that, it was a lovely flight to a conference in the UK and with great service from the flight attendants. The seat was a little narrower than I was expecting, and the early departure time made getting rest a bit challenging. But all-in-all it was a nice experience. Onto the food!

The verdict: The food was really good, and completely overwhelming. I picked at each item offered and was pleased. The beef was a bit overdone for my taste, but still tender and flavorful. The warm breads, especially the garlic but also the brioche, were delicious. The soup wasn't exactly my favorite; I probably should have gone with the prawns, as I was initially thinking. The Boston cream cake was great, and the cheddar on the cheese plate was awesome. I forgot to snap a picture of breakfast, but it was really good and delivered promptly after I woke up. All-in-all, Virgin Atlantic was a great experience and the 25,000 miles it took to upgrade from Premium Economy was well worth it.
