That's a shame. I live only 25 minutes from a Giant/PA store and 10 minutes from a Giant MD store so I can use both programs (although the Giant/MD store is along my regular commute, so it's easier). I bought points in both programs last week, but if I'm only going to get something like $1.56 off a gallon at Giant/MD, I probably would have just bought Giant PA points. Given the current spike in gas prices, $1.50 off will only be half price; with Giant PA, you can still get completely free gas. If there's another point promo in the next few weeks, I may go back to Giant PA and give my Giant MD points to friends and family (which is now logistically easier to do, because there are no additional FR points they can drain when they fill up). While I'd be disappointed to pay half price for gas, they'll be thrilled.
