Perhaps the airport in question had a visit from the AC station auditors who will view most aspectes of the AC operation. Some stations have been dinged for not having the boarding staff ask passengers to remove hats/sunglasses upon boarding to aid in visually verifying that the person boarding matches the ID presented.
